What are these Workshops about?
In this two hour course you'll learn the basics about coding using the language Python and about CAD software using the app Onshape. For Python, we will teach you specifically about print statements, variables, user input, loops, and much more. Using these skills, you'll learn how to write text, solve basic math problems, and how to make and use variables . In Onshape, we will show you how to draw, constrain, and extrude drawings to make 3D shapes and models. Specifically, we will teach you about the different tools, axis, dimensions, and constraining tools all found on Onshape.
Why should I attend these Workshops? What will I learn?
In these Workshops, you will learn basic CAD (Computer-Aided-Design) concepts and how to use CAD software called "Onshape". You will also learn basic coding concepts using a language called Python. You will also have the opportunity to work through a guided pratice with both CAD and Python.
